After Rene Kalimunda resigned from the Western province club, Kibuye has lined up Sogonya Kishi Hamisi as his replacement for the remaining part of the national football league season.
A club administrator who preferred anonymity told Times Sport over the weekend that Kibuye is seeking to recruit Kishi for the rest of season to revamp the club’s declining fortunes.
"Kishi is the only coach that is being though about to replace Kalimunda. I can’t clarify how the whole deal stands but this the little information that is available,” This administrator said.
When contacted former Musanze coach admitted the reports but failed to confirm when he is taking the job.
"Some club officials have contacted me for talks but I can comment on this job when the whole deal is officially unveiled,” Kishi said.
Kishi managed Musanze in last year’s second division national league but resigned his job after a defeat at the hands of Military in the semi-finals of the second division championships.
Prior to his second division spell, the DR Congo born tactician last featured in the top flight league during the 2005/06 season when he managed SC Kiyovu before he was sacked following the club’s poor performance in the league.
Late last month former Rayon manager Kalimunda who had taken over Kibuye before the start of the 2007-08 season last year tendered in his resignation after going seven league games without a win.
The former Rayon veteran manager blamed the club administrators over failure to help him recruit the capable players who can compete in top flight.
With five fixtures to end the first leg of the national league, Kibuye is languishing in the drop zone with only two points. Kibuye so far has lost six league fixtures against Military, AS Kigali, Police, Kiyovu, Marine, and Electrogaz and drawn against champions APR.
