Women should take the lead

Editor, I would like to use your newspaper to congratulate the government of Rwanda for promoting women’s rights and providing a platform to showcase their contribution to the rebuilding of their nations. I am amazed everyday by the capabilities of women in Rwanda and this has inspired me to grow personally as a woman and my daughters to grow and seize and explore the opportunities that are being offered by our government.

Inspiration: The Speaker of Parliament; Rose Mukantabana should be an inspiration to us that even women can make great leaders

Editor,

I would like to use your newspaper to congratulate the government of Rwanda for promoting women’s rights and providing a platform to showcase their contribution to the rebuilding of their nations.

I am amazed everyday by the capabilities of women in Rwanda and this has inspired me to grow personally as a woman and my daughters to grow and seize and explore the opportunities that are being offered by our government.

I would like to use this forum to call on all women in this country to continue working hard but more importantly to instill the culture of hard work and sense of responsibility into our daughters.

Most of us never thought we would ever see a day when a Rwandan woman would lead, up to the position of the Speaker of Parliament. We have been offered a chance, let’s exploit it as we train and educate our daughters to be able to do more than we have done.

Let’s raise daughters who will completely see beyond the barriers of male/female domination and lead with an all inclusive mentality.

Thank you Mr. President for making all this possible.
