Children’s summit should go to all provinces

Editor, I was happy to read about the children’s summit in your paper this week. I was quite impressed by the picture that the story carried with it of the Minister of education, Charles Muligande dancing with the kids at Serena hotel. The news story reaffirmed my conviction that the government of Rwanda puts the interests of its people before everything else.

Summit needs to rotate all over the country

Editor,

I was happy to read about the children’s summit in your paper this week. I was quite impressed by the picture that the story carried with it of the Minister of education, Charles Muligande dancing with the kids at Serena hotel. The news story reaffirmed my conviction that the government of Rwanda puts the interests of its people before everything else.

The children’s summit gives the children a special platform where they can express themselves, make their voices be heard and provide long term solutions to any issues they may be facing.

I would however still like to use this same forum to request that Ministry that organizes these summits to rotate them to all the four provinces of the country to enable the children at the grassroots level to be directly part of this good cause.
