At the end of the Academic year, promenade events, commonly known as Prom parties, are held in High schools. Both boys and girls dress trendily to participate at the party. However, the trend of prom parties is not common in the country. Though, some schools organize end of year parties, we have never had a party that brings together students from different schools in the country.

As many of you may be wondering where to celebrate the end of this Academic Year, Sattelite Magazine has done it for you!
The youth entertainment magazine has organised a party dubbed "Glamorous Prom Party 2010.” The party will take place today, at One Love, from 7 pm until dawn. Entrance is at Rwf 5,000 and Rwf 7,000 for couples.
According to Olivier Kamali, the head of the organizing committee, the party will by characterised by a red carpet event, great performances by Kigali’s top artists, and refreshments on top of the menu.
Some of the schools expected to attend include, Lycee de Kigali, Riviera High School, Green Hills Academy, IFAK and Glory.
