I write to pose my concerns to MTN over the Me2U service. I have been a client of MTN for so many years and I was elated when the Me2U service was introduced because that meant that you could never be stranded in case you were in a tight position.
However, I was shocked recently when I tried to distribute airtime amongst my four high school and university students and I was told that I had exceeded my limit. I refused to believe it and actually, I blamed it on maybe a faulty network, but on checking again, I realized that it was a different issue.
According to the MTN customer care service personnel, you are limited to sending airtime to three people per day. I could not believe it. How does that benefit MTN or its clients? The more airtime I send, the more money they make, and in the end, both the client and the company get to win.
I would like to use this opportunity to appeal to the MTN management to please come forward and give us a clarification on why we cannot send airtime to more than three people.
