Kigali Prom crowns King and Queen 2010

Michael Nsengiyunva, 17, and Cynthia Zaina, 18, were crowned Kigali Prom King and Queen, respectively, on Friday night, at Danico Villa Hotel in Kacyiru. The Prom beauty competition attracted ‘Mrs’ and ‘Misses’ from eight schools in Kigali, including: Green Hills Academy, Kagarama S.S, IFAK, Lycee de Kigali, Lacombiere and Sonrise.

Some of the contestants for Kigali Prom King and Queen take centre stage.

Michael Nsengiyunva, 17, and Cynthia Zaina, 18, were crowned Kigali Prom King and Queen, respectively, on Friday night, at Danico Villa Hotel in Kacyiru.

The Prom beauty competition attracted ‘Mrs’ and ‘Misses’ from eight schools in Kigali, including: Green Hills Academy, Kagarama S.S, IFAK, Lycee de Kigali, Lacombiere and Sonrise.

Speaking to The New Times, Innocent Manzi, the founder of Kigali Paparazzi Ltd and organiser of the Prom Night, said the event was aimed at crowning Kigali Prom King and Queen 2010.

He added that Prom is a big popularity contest where the best-looking Mr. and Miss from various secondary schools in Kigali, will be competing for the title and other goodies every year.

"The King and Queen will be given prizes, a certificate and other goodies,” Manzi said.

Kigali Paparazzi supports local artists by giving them a platform to showcase their music talent, and promotes the entertainment industry in the country.
