KIGALI - A-24-year old student at the School of Finance and Banking, (SFB), Dianah Mukundwa, has been selected to deliver a key note address to young leaders from over 19 countries, at the International Young Leaders Forum 2010 in India, on Saturday.

Organised by the Rwanda Renaissance, a non-profit organisation seeking to develop trade and tourism between India and Rwanda, in partnership with various chambers of commerce, the forum will bring together young leaders from Africa, Europe, South and North America -meant to discuss and find solutions to various challenges in their respective countries.

"I am overwhelmed with this great chance to speak to fellow youth across the world on youth empowerment and how the youth can stand out and be of great significance to our societies,” Mukundwa said.

"I am also happy for the experience I am getting here in Mumbai and the exchanges of different skills, information and knowledge. I will endeavour to implement these ideas for the development of the youth in Rwanda.”

The chairman of Rwanda Renaissance, Clarence Fernandes, expressed his delight at the opportunity presented by the forum to the youth, saying that it would give a platform to young people to meet and discuss issues of great importance.

Mukundwa, a final year student at SFB, also represented Rwanda at the International Youth Forum which was hosted in Washington earlier this year.
