ELIAS Uzamukunda a.k.a Baby made his AS Cannes debut in style scoring the game’s only goal to gift his side a 1-0 victory over Creteil Lusitanos in the French third division. Baby, who finally got his chance after injuries to first choice strikers Jan Koller, Lilian Compan and Albert Emon, scored through a fine header three minutes from time.

The win moved AS Cannes into third place with 29 points, six behind leaders Bastia.On the club website, Baby was quoted saying, "Right now, all I want is to help out in any way I can to make sure we get promoted into the second division.”
The former APR and AS Kigali striker moved to France after last year’s African U-20 Youth Championship held in Kigali where his performances raised a few eye brows.
This Saturday, Baby is expected to start against Luzenac.
