If you’ve been dreaming of watching the latest international celebrated film ‘Africa United’ anytime soon, better wakeup from your dream! 

It’s last screening in the country was on Monday, despite the few crowd due to heavy rain, an official from Rwanda Cinema Centre has confirmed. 

Speaking to The New Times, Ayub Kasasa said: "We screened only two Blu-ray discs at different events; for the VIPs on Sunday, at Serena Hotel and, on Monday, to the public at Amahoro National stadium.”

Kasasa added: "…since the movie isn’t yet out on market, we don’t’ want to screen it so often to avoid plagiarism.”
He added that ‘Africa United’ has been screened in big cinemas in America and Europe.

Kasasa is local filmmaker and director, famous for his film ‘The Graduation Day.’
The film was, on Sunday premiered, to an audience of top leaders in the country, and it inspires Rwandans to value locally made movies and to help nurture potential filmmakers, by encouraging the youth to showcase their acting skills.

‘Africa United’ is tipped to be the next ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.

The film follows the adventures of a group of Rwandan children as they travel 3,000 miles across the continent to reach the world cup in South Africa.
