Lights dimmed on Leah’s superstar career, on Saturday, when she was evicted from the Tusker Project Fame Academy.

This was her first time on Probation and she shared the Probation podium with Gaga and Gaelle of Rwanda as well as Paleki of Southern Sudan.

She tried her hand at Luther Vandross’ and Mariah Carey’s "Endless love” with Gabiro but her number was up at the end of the night, as she lost out to Gaga, who was saved by the contestants.
It was a tearful goodbye for most of the contestants she left behind in the Academy.

Leah’s eviction Party was held at Nairobi’s renowned club, Florida 2000, and fans of the silky voiced Tanzanian thronged the venue hoping to catch a glimpse of the young star.

She enthralled fans with her super rich voice and danced with quite a few of them on stage. She enjoyed her party and mingled with fans until the wee hours of the morning.

On Sunday, as a dazzling Paleki bedazzled the crowd with her rendition of Roberta Flack’s hit, "Killing me softly”; the black beauty looked stunning in a plum coloured dress with a studded black cinch belt.

Rachel, the songbird from the Pearl of Africa wowed us with her cover of Roxette’s "Must have been love” and she impressed the judges so much as Juliana asserted that she sang it better than Roxette. She received a standing ovation from most of the crowd, and Ian asked her where she had been hiding all this time as he urged her to build her confidence.

Little Gaelle, who seemed to be enjoying herself on stage as she sang, Shan Ice’s "I love your smile” raised Judge Juliana’s concerns, who told her she seemed like she was slipping back, but her saving grace came from dance coach Edu who noted her increased confidence on stage.

Steve, on the other hand, had a good show as Judge Ian termed his performance as one of the better ones of the night. He sang Joe’s "Good Girls” and was rewarded with an "excellent” from Principal Helen, while Judge Hermes noted that he knows how to engage a crowd.

Amileena from Kenya was able to put up a good performance of Chaka Khan’s "Ain’t nobody”, and even Juliana noted that she was slowly "becoming a threat”.
On the flip side, Ian stated that this might not be her genre but the Academy Principal said that she, as a musician, must be able to sing any kind of genre.

Rwanda’s indomitable Gabiro was thrust into the limelight again with R-Kelly’s "I believe I can fly”, and despite spirited support and applause from the crowd, the judges remained unimpressed with his performance because of his poor diction and problematic vocals. Gaga did not fair any better as her cover of Monica’s "Angel of mine” shows that she still has "room for improvement”, as noted by Band leader, Aaron Rimbui.

Aneth of Tanzania gave a lively rendition of Shania Twain’s "Man, I feel like a woman”, and the jubilant crowd was excited although Judge Ian questioned her song choice as Juliana took issue with her lyrics which she would barely hear.

When all is said and done, the young superstars gave it their best on Sunday and most lived up to the billing of east Africa’s next Superstar, but someone had to go on probation and all the Rwandese contestants have found themselves on the chopping block this time around, together with Aneth of Tanzania.
