The Director General of Kigali City, Aimable Gasana Ndakengerwa, has appealed to investors, both local and international to intensify investments in the country, especially in the city, saying the business climate was favourable.

He made the call at the close of a four-day workshop aimed at equipping participants with practical skills in fundraising and resource mobilization, good governance and resource management, among others.

Organized by the Institute of Fundraising and Resource Development Network in collaboration with Mt Kenya University (MKU), the workshop was attended by Finance Managers and Chief Executive Officers from various organizations, representatives from higher institutions of learning and NGOs, among others.

Mt. Kenya University Country Director, Stanley K Kirika, expressed his gratitude towards Ndakengerwa`s remarks while revealing the institutions’ expansion plan.

"We intend to permanently establish ourselves by building a giant university where we shall be able to have the type of laboratories we desire,” Kirika said.

Felix Mutagoma, the legal representative of COOP-Rwanda, a local NGO, said the training was beneficial in various ways.

"I learnt more about diversification of activities, techniques of monitoring and evaluation so as to keep on the safe side of operation in my activities, among others,” he said.
