RWANDA’s U-17 national team-the Junior Wasps have regrouped ahead of their Tunisia camp from November 15 to December 5.
The team’s assistant coach Aloys Kanamugire told Times Sport yesterday; "We have resumed training and we hope the boys will put up a good fight in Tunisia.”
The Junior Wasps who suffered 1-0 and 1-5 defeats against Congo Brazzaville last week, will play several youth clubs in Tunisia as well as Tunisia’s national U-17 side.
This is all aimed at giving the team enough games under their belt before next year’s Caf U-17 championship which will be jointly held in Kigali and Rubavu.
As part of their preparations, the junior wasps were due to play APR’s second club yesterday and would play another build up match on Friday.
A few months ago, the junior wasps put in a spirited display as they finished fourth in the U-20 Cecafa championship which was held in Eritrea. Uganda won the event after beating Kenya in the final.
