Bralirwa to reward best players

AFTER sinking a record Rwf335m into the Primus National football league, Bralirwa, one of Rwanda’s brewers is going an extra mile by rewarding the best player and coach of the month. According to Primus and Heineken brand manager Jean Pierre Uwizeye, the move is aimed at enhancing competition and making the league more attractive.

AFTER sinking a record Rwf335m into the Primus National football league, Bralirwa, one of Rwanda’s brewers is going an extra mile by rewarding the best player and coach of the month.

According to Primus and Heineken brand manager Jean Pierre Uwizeye, the move is aimed at enhancing competition and making the league more attractive.

"We want to follow what happens in other European leagues; we are starting with awards for best player and coach,” he said before adding that at the end of the league, they will award the season’s best coach and player.

We are going to meet with Ferwafa’s technical committee to iron out ways of selecting these players.”

The Primus National Football league started last month. After three matches, reigning champions APR top the table with nine points.
