ADRIEN Niyonshuti warmed up for the African continental championship in style after powering to this year’s Tour of Kigali.
The South Africa based rider raced home in 4 hours, 21 minutes and 54 seconds, 14 seconds clear of Gasore Hategeka who followed closely in second place.
Namibia’s Dan Craven gave the locals a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming African continental championship after wrapping up the top three slots with a time of 4 hours, 22 minutes and 18 seconds.
At the end of the 148km, Niyonshuti won a cash prize of Rwf 300.000, while Hategeka and Craven settled for Rwf 250.000 and Rwf200.000 respectively.
In the women’s fray, Janet Uwimana claimed the top prize (Rwf150.000) after using 2hours, 22 minutes and 52 seconds.
