The Private Sector Federation (PSF) has secured a grant of Rwf251 million from the Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV) to carry out training of hotel proprietors and other key players the private sector in order to improve service delivery.
The Private Sector Federation (PSF) has secured a grant of Rwf251 million from the Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV) to carry out training of hotel proprietors and other key players the private sector in order to improve service delivery.
This was revealed, on Friday, during a preparatory meeting for the upcoming PSF general assembly elections, which will start on the November 30, 2010.
PSF’s Director of Trade and Policy Advocacy, Yvette Mukarwema, called on hotel owners and managers to prepare themselves for the elections, whereby they stand a chance of having one of their members to head the federation.
"Through your association, which ever member has paid up their subscription will be eligible to stand,” she told the hoteliers as she presented the election procedures.
The President of Rwanda Hotels and Restaurants Association, Eric Musanganya, urged hotels should submit their staff to participate in the planned training sessions.
"We must raise our stakes and be ready to compete with other our colleagues within the East Africa region,” he said.
