The Players' Union Legal Committee in Portugal has ordered CD Trofense to pay Rwandan international Ange Mutsinzi an amount of 20, 542.25 Euros.
The Rwanda international dragged the Portuguese second tier club to the Players Union Legal Committee over unpaid wages amounting to 20, 542.25 Euros (approx Rwf24million) and the club has been tasked to settle the debt.
"The Players’ Union Legal Committee informs that the player Ange Mutsinzi is free to sign a sports employment contract with a new club," a statement from the association reads in part.
"The legal department of the Union of Players has asked CD Trofense to pay Mutsinzi the amount owed and the legal department will monitor for the collection of the respective labor claims", it added.
Mutsinzi first filed to the Players ' Union Legal Committee on the case in December 2022 before filing another on January 19 to the Judicial Court of the Comarca of Porto.
The 25-year-old joined CD Trofense in August 2021 and made a total of 31 scoring one goal before terminating his contract in December last year.
The former APR and Rayon Sports defender is now open to fresh offers with a host of clubs including French Ligue 1 side Nantes showing interest.
