Kenya’s renowned DJ Collo is set to spin the disks at the ‘Rocktober Fest Halloween’, this Saturday.

The awaited party will be held at the Grand Scenario Hotel in Nyarutarama, starting from 7pm to 5am. It’s the first of its kind in the country and it is geared to rock!
Threez a Crowd and DJ Gordo, also from Kenya, have been lined-up to perform until dawn.

Entrance is at Rwf 5,000, with a complimentary drink of Turbo King, and Rwf 10,000 inclusive of dinner and a drink.

Who is DJ Collo

Born in the late 70’s in Nairobi, Kenya, Collins O. Ogutu, a.k.a DJ Collo, is a veteran deejay famous for his creativity and dexterity.

He grew up in the Eastern suburbs of Nairobi city where, as a youngster, was surrounded by the soulful melodies of African rhythms which was what his parents mostly listened to; little did he know that this musical background would prove to be very essential to his career in the future.

Today, DJ Collo is famous for his sounds which saw the creation of P.A.C.K. Deejayz, a runaway DJ Unit that caused ripples in the Kenyan entertainment scene in 2006.
After deejaying as a mobile DJ for three years, DJ Collo thought it was time to settle in one place; that’s when he switched to being a Club DJ.

"I’ve deejayed in clubs for a long time of my DeeJaying career; from January 2004 to August 2005, I was the Trust Wakilisha Bashes Official DJ,” DJ Collo said.

He added: "My vast experience in the industry is 90% business and 10% talent although for you to apply the 10% you still have to be the best.”
