SC Kiyovu  vs La Jeunesse

Primus National League defending champions APR Fc made it two wins out of two after a sole strike from striker Abbas Rassou gave the 11 time champions a 1-0 win over Amagaju in the Southern Province on Saturday.

The Cameroonian-born Rwandan international scored the lone goal in the second half to earn maximum points for the military side, which kicked off their title defence last weekend with a win over Mukura.

Midfielder Jean Claude Iranzi said, "It wasn’t an easy game but we managed to get a goal in the second half through a penalty, it is three points we wanted and we got them.”
Rivals Rayon Sports managed a 3-2 victory over Marines in another league match played at Nyamirambo stadium.

Tanzanian import Didier Mburu scored a brace while Abedi Mulenda scored his second goal of the season after missing the whole of last season through suspension for signing for two different clubs.

In Western Province, Rwanda’s representatives to next year’s Confederation Cup Etincelles beat Musanze 2-0 at Umuganda stadium.

AS Kigali extended their winning streak to two games after defeating Mukura 3-1 at Mumena stadium.  New signings Jimmy Mbaraga, Innocent Habyarimana and Fidele Nduwimana were on target for the Kigali city sponsored team.

Elsewhere, Police beat Muhanga 2-1 away in Muhanga, Southern Province. League Action continues today with SC Kiyovu facing an uphill task against newly promoted side La Jeunesse. Jeunesse played a goalless draw against Etincelles on the first day of the Primus league while Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s team were stunned 1-0 by AS Kigali.
