EVEN without his influential midfield Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza a.k.a Migi, Eric Nshimiyimana expects APR to gun down Amagaju this afternoon.
The eleven-time Primus league champions got off to a good start after last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Mukura and the army side’s assistant coach insists that there is enough firepower in the team to grind out a win in Nyamagabe, Southern Province.

Migi, who scored APR’s winner last weekend, was suspended after being sent off during the final minutes for a reckless challenge.

However, Nshimiyimana still believes that the likes of Mbuyu Twite, Tchimanga Mutamba, Bebeto Lwamba, Niyonzima Haruna, Kabange Twite and Victor Nyirenda should steer the team to victory.

At Nyamirambo’s regional stadium, 2004 champions Rayon Sport hope to keep pace with arch rivals APR with a win against Marines.

The blues got off to a winning start after Sunday’s 1-0 win over Muhanga and head coach Emmanuel Ruremesha hopes to please the home fans with three more points today.
Last year’s league runners up Etincelles, who were held to goalless draw by new boys La Jeunesse are keen to kick-start their campaign when they host Musanze.

The western province club bought ten new players in the off season in an effort to try and challenge on all three fronts – Primus league, MTN Peace Cup and the Orange Confederations Cup. Other games on cards include a clash between Muhanga and Police and what is expected to be a close contest between Mukura and AS Kigali at Kicukiro.
Tomorrow, Kiyovu coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s Kiyovu entertain La Jeunesse.

La Jeunesse opened their campaign with a goalless draw against Etincelles while the green baggies were stunned by AS Kigali 0-1.
