RSF latest report is misguided

Editor, I write this with utmost disbelief by the way Reporters Without Borders (RSF), has ranked the state of press freedom in Rwanda—worse that Somalia’s, really! I always thought RSF was objective and not a hate media supporter. It’s clear that they based their flawed report on the word of anti-Rwandans whom they well keep close at heart.

Editor,

I write this with utmost disbelief by the way Reporters Without Borders (RSF), has ranked the state of press freedom in Rwanda—worse that Somalia’s, really! I always thought RSF was objective and not a hate media supporter. It’s clear that they based their flawed report on the word of anti-Rwandans whom they well keep close at heart.

They choose to turn a blind eye towards the reality of life in Rwanda when they report of a, "climate of terror” during the August elections without a slight effort to speak to those who actually lived through the peaceful and calm election atmosphere prior, during and after the elections.

Truth will always prevail no matter what. Hate media prevailed in Rwanda before, fuelling the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. If hate media is what RSJ supports then I have no choice but to deem them an irresponsible and misguided group.
