Amagaju FC president, Paul Nshimyumuremyi has admitted that his club misses playing Rwanda Premier League football and is optimistic that the only goal this season is to make a comeback to the league they last played during the 2018-19 season.
The Nyamagabe-based side finished the first round of the second division league sitting top of Group B with 22 points, two point ahead of second-placed Giscumbi, and Nshimyumuremyi has tasked his men to maintain their winning form when the second division league until they secure their dream promotion back to top-flight football
"We want to win as many games as we can. We finished well the first part of the season. So far so good and we hope to build on that to achieve our goal which is to return to the top flight league. We really miss it,” he told Times Sports.
Amagaju return to action on Sunday, February 29, when they hosting Intare FC at Nyagisenyi Stadium, in a fixture that the club president cautioned everyone not to take it lightly.
"We need to keep our consistency to be able to maintain our lead,” he noted.
