RWANDA’S junior female volleyball team hopes to build on Ivory Coast’s victory when they face hosts Tunisia in their third match of the 2010 Women’s Junior Africa Nations Championship in Tunis.

After opening their campaign with a 3-0 defeat against Egypt (15-25, 17-25, 17-25), Paul Bitok’s team bounced back on Saturday with a commanding straight sets win over Ivory Coast (25-5, 25-8, 25-4).

Egypt improved their win- loss ratio to 2-0 to lead the five nation round robin tournament followed by Algeria 1-1, Tunisia 1-0 and Rwanda 1-1 while Ivory Coast is last on 0-2.

The final matches will be played tomorrow to determine Africa’s two representatives for the 2011 Women’s Junior Africa Nations championship due in Lima, Peru.

Egypt are chasing for a third successive title after lifting the 2006 and 2008 titles.
