Cheap things are always indirectly costly, the designer sexy lingerie sold down town as secondhand material is cheap as compared to those sold in designer shops. Many Rwandan have tasted the consequences of buying bras and lingerie that is already used.

However, precautions can be taken. First soak these clothes in hot water with a washing detergent for a period of time. 

If you have a history of skin problems because of hyper-sensitivity and have been alerted by probably a rash or being uncomfortable then there is a reason to be concerned. Getting rid of the lingerie bought or covering your nipples with surgical tape to protect them while trying on the secondhand bras.

The best way to avoid any perceived dangers of buying a bra previously tried on is to go to a lingerie shop that sells high-quality bras and offers high-quality shopping assistance.

When you go to buy new bras, even if you haven’t gained or lost any weight since your last shopping trip, it’s useful to be fitted before you start trying on.

A well-informed sales assistant will be able to guide you to the best bras for your size and help you make selections based on your criteria, so that you are well ahead of the game even before you step into the dressing room.

You can also examine the bra closely to test for any signs of damage or abuse. Very likely the worst thing you would find is a stain.  Always try to adjust the straps as you try on the bra. You definitely don’t want to trust that you’re the same size as the woman who last tried on the bra. A simple strap adjustment can make a big difference.

As a final point, when you get the bra home, be sure to wash it before wearing it. This is the best step you can take towards making the bra safe and comfortable for you to wear all day, no matter who else tried it on in the store
