Local filmmaker, Jerome Mugabo is shooting a documentary in memory of Claver Shyaka. Mugabo told The New Times that the deceased had asked him to do a documentary about his life before he died.

Shyaka died of heart failure on August 12, 2010, aged 32.
The film-maker said that it’s unfortunate that Shyaka ‘went too soon’ before he could see the film.

"The morning Shyaka passed away I was on my way to the radio station, to discuss with him about the project; only to learn that he had died…I almost fainted!”

Mugabo returned from Uganda last week, where he collected footage of where the deceased grew up and studied.

Education 

Shyaka studied from Bwizibwera Primary School and at Gisumo Boarding Secondary School, in Luwero District, central Uganda. He was pursuing his degree at ULK.
Legacy  

He was a local celebrity, who came into the public spotlight while reporting about sports on Radio 10.
Shyaka was a passionate fan of APR FC, Amavubi Stars and Man United in the English games.
