Kizito Mihigo jets in for mammoth concerts

A Rwandan artist based in Belgium Kizito Mihigo, arrived in Kigali last Saturday, for his long-awaited concerts.Mihigo’s two concerts dubbed ‘Inshingano z’uwababariwe’ and Umuhire watubyariye umugisha’ are scheduled for Oct 30 and Nov 27, at Gikondo Parish and, in Kibeho, Southern Province respectively.

A Rwandan artist based in Belgium Kizito Mihigo, arrived in Kigali last Saturday, for his long-awaited concerts.

Mihigo’s two concerts dubbed ‘Inshingano z’uwababariwe’ and Umuhire watubyariye umugisha’ are scheduled for Oct 30 and Nov 27, at Gikondo Parish and, in Kibeho, Southern Province respectively.

Mihigo has kicked off his rehearsals with the local choirs ‘Christus Regnat’ and ‘Il est Vivants’, which will be backing up his performances.

Speaking to The New Times on Tuesday, the singer said that, for eight years he has been singing about forgiveness and reconciliation, but  now he would like to see all Rwandans join join efforts and rebuild the country. 
"We should fight against anything that would sparkle off the Genocide again,” Mihigo said.

His Kibeho concert will be a culmination of what would be described as ‘Significant Gigs.’
The concerts are free of charge, but fans will be invited to offer what they can as a token of appreciation for the artist.

Born on July 25, 1981 in Kibeho, Mihigo is a Genocide survivour. He is an international organist, singer and composer.
