AFTER silencing Amavubi and their fans with Saturday’s 3-0 mauling in the 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifying campaign, Benin team.

Speaking to Times Sport after the tour, one of Benin’s players Salomon Junior said "Rwanda is a very good country; it’s a good place to live because everything is nice and we are happy to be here since.”

"We have learnt great lessons from this place (Kigali Genocide Memorial centre). All we can say is that we mourn for our fellow Africans who were killed during 1994.”

He also castigated the international community for failing to stop the 1994 atrocities saying that this is a total failure by both UN and other international organizations.

On Saturday, Amavubi’s sloppiness in-front of goal was severely punished as the West Africans romped to a 3-0 win at Amahoro stadium.

All the goals came in the second half through Tchomogo Séïdath, Omotoyossi Razack and Sessègnon Stephane.

The visitors started impressively and controlled the game in the first quarter of an hour. Striker Séïdath’s had the first real goal attempt but his shot went wide.

The other Group H match that pitted Burundi against Ivory Coast in Bujumbura ended in a 1-0 win in favour of the visitors. Arsenal’s Emmanuel Eboue scored the all important goal from a free kick.

After two rounds of qualifiers, Rwanda remains at the foot of the group with no points.

Ivory Coast are top with 6 points, Benin are second with 4 points while Burundi are third with one point.
