Jimmy Muhiro, born August 2, 1987 in Uvilla, Congo is an upcoming Rwandan gospel music star.

Muhiro got his first taste in music at a tender age of five as a member in a Sunday school choir, and soon discovered that he had a unique talent which needed to be exploited.

His father, Jotham Bizimana, a talented singer who didn’t make it beyond Church level, helped him improve on his vocals and introduced him into the music world.

Muhiro used to sit by his father’s side whenever he would be rehearsing for Church and the youngster observed carefully how he blended his tunes.

As his talent improved, Muhiro worked harder to compose his own songs and staged performances.

Muhiro was launched to the top of the charts in 2007 after his first release ‘Ibirori’. The song became in vogue instantly receiving endless airtime on local radio station.

Today, Muhiro remains on top with various chart toppers including his hit track ‘Izuba rizongera rirase.’

He has expanded his talent reach thanks to an unflinching commitment by Moriah Entertainment Group, which fully manages the singer and promotes his music.

Muhiro has risen to the upper reaches of the Christian and gospel music spheres, becoming an in-demand songwriter/singer in the country.

He has also performed along with a list of well-known local gospel personalities, including Aline Gahongaire, Patrick Nyamitari, and many others.

The 23-year-old singer is a 1st year student at

Kigali Independent University (ULK). Muhiro says that as God continues to help him, he wants to take his music career to the international gospel scene.
