AMAVUBI head coach Sellas Tetteh is confident the wasps can overcome Benin in today’s 2012 Africa Nations Cup Group H qualifier.

The team has been locked in rigorous residential training for the last three weeks and Tetteh believes the boys are in good shape to register their first win of the qualifying campaign.

Amavubi are at the foot of Group H after a 3-0 defeat in their opening away tie against a star-studded Ivory Coast side last month.

Tetteh is expected to assembly a young side spearheaded by skipper Haruna Niyonzima and hard tackling midfielder Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza a.k.a Migi.

"I have great pride in my players and I have no doubt that they will rise to the occasion,” the 52-year-old said.
"Every body is fine and match fit so I hope for the best tomorrow.”

Centre-back Ismael Nshutiyamagara a.k.a Kodo also expressed his confidence saying that the team will frustrate Benin’s attack.

"This team has improved a lot since the Ivory Coast match. We have worked on our weak areas and all we ask for is the support of the fans,” the APR player said.
Amavubi goal keeper Jean Luc Ndayishimiye a.k.a Bakame believes the best way to push for a win is by keeping a clean sheet.

"I have trained a lot over the past one month and will give my best tomorrow (today),” Bakame said ahead of the game which will be held at Amahoro Stadium.

In Bujumbura, Ivory Coast are without their influential captain Didier Drogba and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure for their Group H tie against Burundi.
In the run in to the qualifier, the Elephants camped in Kenya.
