UGANDAN famous artists Mowzey Radio and Weasel were involved an accident on Masaka Road on Wednesday.

Radio and Weasel, who are the lead singers in GoodLyfe Entertainment, were travelling in a Toyota Super Custom vehicle with their manager Allan Kiwanuka, a minor only identified as Kenneth and an unidentified driver. The singers were travelling to Mbarara for a show that was due at Vision Empire nightclub yesterday.

The accident occurred at Kamengo on Masaka Road when a blue Toyota Canter vehicle rammed into the car the artistes were travelling in.

"The Canter swung from the right side of the road to the left lane and hit our car head-on. I feel pain in my chest and the back but I didn’t get any serious injuries,” Mowzey Radio said.

No injuries

Weasel, the other musician, and the driver did not sustain any injuries at all and they were not feeling any pain. However, Kiwanuka sustained cuts on the legs and twisted his ankle and was feeling pain in the ribs while Kenneth sustained cuts all over his body.

The two singers and the rest of the victims were transported to Nsambya Hospital at about 4 p.m. Weasel and Radio were both discharged after doctors gave them a clean bill of health.

Kiwanuka was admitted although X-ray results indicated that he had no serious internal injuries.

Weasel and Radio are the latest to join the list of singers that have been involved in accidents this year.
