EGYPT is what stands between Rwanda and a place in the final of the Africa Junior Nations Championship which is being staged at the multisport complex hall in Misurata, Libya.

The youngsters reached the semi-final in style after topping Group A with three wins in as many matches.
After coming twice from a set down to eventually edge Morocco 3-2, Rwanda saw off Chad and hosts Libya in straight sets to give pre-tournament favorites Egypt and defending champions something to sleep on.

The team’s performance has been spearheaded by sensational setter Bonny Mutabazi who has been a revelation around the net.

Egypt also raced through in Group B after sweeping aside Ivory Coast 3-0 (25-7, 25-4, 25-8). The North African nation had earlier thrashed Tunisia and South Africa.

Despite the Egypt defeat, Tunisia sealed their last four slot after a 3-0 set victory over South Africa (25-8, 25-6, and 25-18).
