Wasps line up Morocco friendly

AMAVUBI are lining up a friendly match with Morocco as part of their build up to the 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Benin Ostine Arinaitwe reports. The national team has so far played two friendlies against Rayon Sport (2-2) and Police (5-4) but with the stakes so high for the wasps following a wobbly start to their campaign after losing 3-0 away to Ivory Coast, the local football body (Ferwafa) head John Bosco Kazura asserts that Morocco will be a good test for the team.

"We think that the team needs to play against foreign opposition to weigh their preparation. We are working round the clock to make sure that they play Morocco next week,” Kazura said.

Morocco, who play Tanzania on October 9, were held to a goalless stalemate in Rabat by the Central African Republic in their opening 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier.
