More schools from the East African partner states have confirmed their participation in forthcoming East African Education Exhibition and Conference that commences tomorrow at Kigali Institute of Science and Technology.

According to the EAC Education Expo Consultant, Fred Busingye, 75 Rwandan schools, about 20 from Kenya, and 30 from Uganda have already confirmed their participation.
"The Ministries of Education of Burundi and Tanzania have not confirmed though we have 3 companies from Burundi which have confirmed participation,” he said.

"We hope before the expo starts schools from Tanzania and Burundi will have confirmed their participation”.
Busingye added that exhibitors are expected to arrive at the venue today morning and set up their stalls.

The four-day event that is organized under the theme "Quality education for intercultural understanding and regional development” will bring together various education institutions from EAC partner states to showcase educational opportunities in the region.

This is the first EAC Education Exhibition and Conference after the coming into force of the Common Market Protocol in July that ensures free movement of services, labour, and persons

Participants to the Expo will include primary schools, secondary schools, higher colleges (including TVET institutions), higher institutions of learning, private sector firms and companies dealing in areas that support education service delivery and education funding agencies and as well as top education officials from the ministries of the partner states.

The exhibitors are expected to exhibit items like information about registration requirements, curriculum, fees structure, customized items like calendars, caps, flags, kits and demonstrating practical achievements.
