Gorilla FC midfielder Hesbon Rutonesha has joined Police FC on a one-and-a-half-year deal.

The talented youngster is expected to bring creativity and stability in Vincent Mashami's midfield which has been going through ups and downs this season.

Rutonesha started his career with Isonga FC and was part of the Rwanda U17 national team that played in the 2018 CAF Zonal qualifiers.

He also featured for the Rwanda U23 team that reached the final qualifying round of the U23 AFCON before losing 1-0 on aggregate to Mali in October 2022.

Rutonesha commanded Gorilla FC midfield over the weekend as they nearly completed a comeback from 3-0 down to end the game 3-2 at the hands of Police FC in a tightly-contested league encounter held Friday, January 17, at Bugesera Stadium.
