Donatha Kalisa, known by her fans as Nicky, is among the country’s upcoming artists with the ambition to make their music career thrive.
Nicky, born in Kigali on December 27, 1992, is an R&B artist best known for songs like ‘Nyibuka’ – (Remember Me) and ‘Twishimane’ – (Let’s Be Happy).
The trendy and charming 18-year-old artist is featuring on the cover of this Sunday’s magazine and we must admit that she is looking great!
Friends and family may know Nicky as an ordinary student from Lycée la Colombiere, but her music fans call her the princess of R&B because of her talent and unique music.
Recently, however, Nicky waded into new waters and is beginning to make a name for herself among Rwanda’s favourite musicians. Her vision is to take her music to the international level.
Asked to identify her personal role models in the music world, Nicky chooses Tom Close and America’s actress and pop singer Miley Cyrus.
