The last time I read The New Times, Rwanda Television and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture were jointly working round the clock to make sure that the 2008 African Cup of Nations (CAN) is broadcast live on TVR.

Of course some people will argue that many Rwandans have managed to follow the tournament through GTV and DSTV.

However, not everybody can afford them, let alone stay out late in bars to watch these games. In fact those who have managed to access these facilities are Kigali residents. But Kigali is just a portion of Rwanda which means that a good number are still not in position to watch Africa’s premier football tournament.

Therefore, my humble request goes to Mijespoc and TVR to keep us posted about any developments concerning live TVR broadcast.
