Miss Rwanda, Grace Bahati, who returned from her trip in the US last week, has expressed her desire to become an ambassador. "I want to advocate for my country and the needy,” Bahati said.

Speaking to The New Times, Bahati said that while in the US, she visited various places, including the UN Foundation, Rwanda Embassy. She also toured some of New York’s top modeling agencies, like, Ford, Click Model, Exxcel and Next Model.

The 19-year-old sublime was invited to the US, courtesy of her mentor, the US renowned author Elizabeth Dewberry.   
"Elizabeth has opened the windows for me. She is such a great person and has promised to support me to achieve my dream,” Bahati added. 

It is also believed that after completing secondary school, Bahati will head to the US for advanced studies, as well as develop her talent as a model.

With her exotic beauty, confidence and intelligence, Bahati has the potential to put Rwanda onto the international beauty pageant charts.

Social causes

Supporting social causes is nothing new to this graceful beauty. Her Miss Rwanda title gave her the opportunity to sensitise the youth during the recent presidential campaigns and promote HIV/AIDS awareness in different parts of the country.

And even after relinquishing her title, Bahati promises to continue participating in social responsibilities.
