One of my debate coaches once told me something… "A talent is a gift from God and what you use it for is a gift sent back to God”. The idea was so rooted in my mind that whenever I’m going to use my talent for something, I remember this quote.

Some local artists are really annoying! I was told how some big artists were invited for a charity concert in one of the leading high schools in Kigali and they refused to turn up, demanding payment upfront. This was so annoying!

The proceeds are supposed to go to charity but some artists want to be paid directly out of the proceeds. I think artists need to style up! They are not bigger than other people.

The most successful people in this world started by serving other people! God gave you that talent so that you can serve his people and not use it to serve yourself. Artists need to know that blessed is the heart that gives!

Whenever you are invited for a charity event, do it without hesitation! I have not mentioned names this time, but I promise you that if I hear of a similar incident, I shall mention your names so that people know about you.
