RAYON Sports have offered a one-year renewable contract to Emmanuel Ruremesha ahead of the 2010/11 Primus league which kicks off next month.

The six-time league champions, who have not won a title since 2005, have tasked the former Atraco assistant coach to end their trophy drought.

"We have offered him (Ruremesha) a one-year contract and asked him to win us the Primus League as well as MTN Peace Cup,” his main task is to win the Primus league and the MTN Peace Cup,” Rayon’s Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya said.

"Of course we also want to play in the Orange Champions league but to do that, we have to start by winning the league,” the official added.

Ruremesha, 37, joined the Blues towards the end of last season on a three month contract, which expired in July.

After what was seen as a respectable showing in the 2009/10 MTN Peace Cup where he guided the club to the final before eventually losing out to APR 1-0, the momentous run has now earned him an extra year to prove his worth.

In addition to reaching the MTN Peace Cup final, Rayon also finished third in the Primus league. In a related development, the club is trying to raise a Rwf50m kitty to bolster the squad with a couple of new signings.

Already, Albert Nyumbayire, Aimable Rucogoza and Simon Chipangara from DRC have been offered two-year deals.
