Rwandans in Holland celebrate Kagame’s victory

Netherlands - THE Embassy of Rwanda in  The Netherlands, in collaboration  with the Rwandan Communicty in the Netherlands  last week celebrated President Paul Kagame’s victory in the recent  Presidential elections.

Netherlands - THE Embassy of Rwanda in  The Netherlands, in collaboration  with the Rwandan Communicty in the Netherlands  last week celebrated President Paul Kagame’s victory in the recent  Presidential elections.

More than 400 people, Rwandans and friends of Rwanda alike, attended the celebrations. The event that lasted throughout the night  also attracted Rwandans from Belgium, France and Italy as well as the
Burundian Diaspora.

On the same occasion, those present were able to meet Rwanda’s new Ambassador to The Kingdom of the Netherlands, Immaculee Uwanyiligira.

Uwanyiligira presented her credentials on September 8, 2010 to Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands.
In her speech during the celebrations, the new Ambassador emphasized Rwanda’s achievements in the last seven years and the role she expects the Rwandan Diaspora in the Netherlands to play in the years to come.

The Rwandan Diaspora was very responsive and pledged itself to work closely with the Embassy to contribute towards building a better Rwanda for tomorrow.
