In our last issue on motoring we talked about strange noises in our cars, now we are going to look at causes of accidents.

As you know accidents happen without warning, some minor technical fault can cause a serious accident.

Tyres

Tyres are an important part of your car. If you don’t care for your tyres, they may lead to an accident.

There are three ways your tyres can cause accidents

1. Worn out tyres:
Cars with worn out tyres are more prone to accidents. Tyres have what we call treads. Treads prevent tyres from sliding on the road in case you suddenly brake and they also help the car to gain momentum on slippery surfaces.

2. Too much pressure:
Pressure is filled according to tyre size. For example, 13-14 cm =25kg 48 psi  of pressure is needed for such small cars like Carinas, Coloras etc. For a Jeep whose tyre is 15-16cm=3kg 51 psi of pressure is the maximum. Note, a lot pressure in tyres causes loss of stability on the road.

3. Poor mounting:
If mounting is poorly done, it could cause a serious accident. You should also change tyres in time in order to prevent accidents.
