What does the neat twisted hair, genuine smile, shrill voice bring to mind?

He is one of the country’s most talented and famous R&B artists—humble and down-to-earth. Until you understand his desire, his passion and his aspirations, like he says, don’t judge a book by its cover!

Mani Martin, whose real name is Martin Imaniraruta, knows what he is doing and how to rock and control the music industry.

Certainly, this calm and soft-spoken star is not a newcomer in the business, he has tasted all waters. Mani Martin released his first two singles ‘Agapfa kaburiwe ni impongo’ and ‘Umuntu n’ iki’, at a tender age of 11.

It is hard to say what Mani Martin is capable of in one sentence. Every time he drops something, he gets some folks start talking about his craft. He has mastered the art and, his songs have captured the heart of the nation.

As a 1994 genocide survivor, most of Mani Martin’s works are about peace, unity and reconciliation.

His single ‘Icyo dupfana kiruta icyo dupfa’ sets the pace for his fine artistry with hardcore R&B fused with reggae and pop.
The –year-old star is not only a musician, but also budding actor. He starred in LONG COAT (2009), a feature film directed by Edouard Bamporiki.
