Plot:  This movie is based upon the true story a man who finds himself a single dad, homeless and without a job, and as far down the society ladder as you can get in America. Chris Gardner is a bright and talented, but almost unemployed salesman. struggling to make ends meet, Gardner finds himself and his five-year-old son evicted from their San Francisco apartment with nowhere to go. Then follows a tale of hardships, homelessness, financial struggle, overcoming the odds, humility, gratitude and fatherhood that sees Chris and his son face before they attain the life they sought so hard for, and the ultimate prize of happiness.

Verdict: Will Smith’s heartfelt performance elevates The Pursuit of Happyness above mere drama to something that is touching and worthy. Heartwarming and gut wrenching, its makes you want to cheer the father and son for not giving up. Smith’s own son plays his son in this film. This is a truly motivating movie for someone who is going through a hard time because of unemployment.
