KIGALI Basketball Club (KBC) will move closer to their first league title if they beat UGB on Sunday.

The league debutants proved their title credentials when they edged defending champions APR (56-55) two weeks ago. In the first round, KBC dominated UGB to win the encounter 82-55 and the side’s head coach Pierre Gategabondo hopes for a similar result this weekend.

After 14 games, KBC tops the league with 26 points, one ahead of APR and six clear of UGB.

In the ladies category, APR hope to keep their unbeaten run intact when they take on weaklings GSST Joseph today.
