FORMER APR Coach René Feller has been spotted in town leading to speculation that he could be back for a second stint at the military side after the departure of his former assistant Erik Paske.

The 68-year-old coached APR during the 2007-2008 season, guiding the side to the MTN Peace Cup.

However, having missed out on the league title at the expense of Atraco, the Dutchman’s contract was not renewed.
Erik Paske, Feller’s assistant at the time took over and won two league titles, the Cecafa Kagame Cup and the MTN Peace Cup but his contract was also not renewed as he opted to stay in the Netherlands for family reasons.

While Times Sport could not get a comment from the Club’s Secretary General Kalisa Adolphe by press time, a club source said that Feller and another Dutch man identified as Ernest Wilhelmus Johannes Brandts arrived in the country on Thursday morning.

It is not yet clear whether Feller is seeking a second stint at the army side or whether he is here to lobby for his counterpart Johannes Brandts.

The club is currently being coached by Eric Nshimiyimana. The 2010/11 Primus league will start on October 16.
