Editor,
This is in reference to your article entitled " C’wealth Youth Meeting opens in Kigali”.
I am very pleased to read that Rwanda is getting a fair share of Commonwealth programmes, more so being the newest country to join the Commonwealth group of nations.
Please allow me to congratulate Claire Anholt, Royal Commonwealth Society Youth Programmes Manager and her dynamic team for putting together this Conference.
It was interesting to note that Pakistan was represented at this Forum, but what about India?
We have, at the Indian Merchants’ Chamber, a Young Leaders’ Forum and we would be delighted to nominate suitable persons to participate at such a Forum in Rwanda. Unfortunately, we have come to know about the event only now , through your newspaper, when it has already started.
Claire Anholt or any of her colleagues may kindly contact the undersigned for any future similar programmes. While on the subject, please allow me to state that we have invited and shall host an outstanding student from the School of Finance and Banking to participate at the 5th International Banking and Finance Conference scheduled to be held in Mumbai on 11 November, 2010. A two way engagement would surely be mutually beneficial.
Kind regards
Clarence Fernandes
