From their candid revelations, we have got the real picture of what happened and how the crisis that had gone on, since the defeat of the genocidal government in Rwanda - that had fled to Zaire, herding millions of innocent Rwandans along, as their hostages and human shields in a war they had lost- was resolved.
This is a story that those bent on manipulating the United Nations system, to tarnish the image of Rwanda, do not want to hear. Rwanda’s detractors have actively sought to create a narrative that seeks to undermine the achievements that the country has made and to break a society that has achieved high levels of reconciliation in the aftermath of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
If the authors of the UN report had any sense of honesty, they would have listened to these people who were witness to the heroic repatriation of millions of Rwandans. However, that was not in their interest. These testimonies, serve to illustrate the fact that the truth, will ultimately triumph.
