The 2007 national volleyball calendar is set to climax this weekend with the annual Carre’ d’AS tournament.
The event is rolling into its tenth edition and like its norm, will merge the top four clubs of the 2007 national men’s and ladies’ volleyball league.
According to the local volleyball governing body (FRVB), reigning league champions APR, Rwanda National University (UNR), Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) and Groupe Scolaire de Butare will contend for the men’s honour while reigning league champions and defending Carre’ d’AS UNR, APR, Groupe Scolaire de Rwaza and APEDI Rwaza.
The two-day tournament throws off this afternoon with the preliminaries before winding up tomorrow with the finals.
According to the tournament’s schedule, ladies will use the Kimisagara courts while the Kist and Camp Kigali courts have been reserved for the men.
The finals will be held at Kimisagara courts.
