BLAISE Itangishaka, one of Rwanda’s promising midfielders, is set to under-go a three-year training stint with Spanish Academy-Aspire.

After weeks of intensive review and consultations, a team of Aspire Academy scouts which traversed the East African region in search of budding talent finally narrowed down to Itangishaka, Tanzania’s Salum Bakari and center back Augustus Mukaisi of Kenya.

Kicukiro Academy chief, Augustin Munyandamutsa told Times Sports; "this is good for him because after his stint, Aspire will definitely find him a club in Spain.”

Meanwhile, Kenya’s Mukaisi seems to be following in the footsteps of big brother Dennis Mukaisi, a regular for Tusker FC and Kenya’s national team, Harambee Stars.

Prior to heading to Senegal’s capital, Dakar for the training camp, the youngsters will meet up with youngsters from other parts of the world in Qatar.

The Aspire selection finals were held at Kenya’s Kasarani stadium where 50 finalists were paraded in a competitive three-day selection process.

The Aspire program started in 2007 and runs in 15 different countries throughout Asia, South America and Africa with two high class soccer academies in Qatar and Senegal.
