This week, the Rwanda OTC market did not record any transactions. The shares remained at 145 Rwf. At the end of the session, there was one bid of 1000 KCB shares at the Rwf 130 and an offer of Rwf 155.
This week on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), KCB shares hit a low of 18.85 Kshs (Rwf136) and a high of 19.50 Kshs (Rwf141). On Thursday, a total of 1,259,600 KCB shares were traded and closed at 18.50 Kshs (134Rfw).
The NSE All share index closed the week lower at 96.31 compared to the previous week’s closing of 100.49.
The Bond Market:
Today marked the official listing of the sixth government bond since the commencement of trading on the ROTC on January 31st, 2008. This bond valued at Rwf 2.5 billion will mature in 2012 with periodic interest of 9.5% per annum.
The listing thus brings the total outstanding bonds at Rwf 12.5 billion. At the close of business, there were Rwf 100 million government bonds bid at 98.237 and there were no sellers.
There was no transaction on the BCR bond
