I read in The New Times the story about the friendly match between the Amavubi and Police FC with a sense of bemusement. While a draw wasn’t the best possible result, one must understand that Police FC players train and play together all the time.

The same cannot be said of the Amavubi players. One must understand that this was simply a friendly game and surely the national team players will play a lot harder when they meet the Elephants of the Ivory Coast.

I think that we shouldn’t look too much into friendly games. They are just that, ‘friendly’.
